WHERE : Uganda, Africa COST : $3500 (not including airfare) African Promise Expeditions has partnered with Noah Rasheta from the popular podcast Secular Buddhism to bring you a combination trip filled with humanitarian work, mindfulness workshops and adventure safari, all in the same trip!
Experience the trip of a lifetime as you visit Uganda, Africa. As you arrive at African Hospitality Institute you will be greeted by AHI staff. They will be waiting with freshly squeezed passion juice and a warm wash cloth to help you refresh after you long journey! Spend the first six days of your expedition serving in the community or Kagoge, a village in central Uganda. Bring out your inner child and play in the mud as you work with locals to "mud" a building or classroom! Other activities will include learning to make a local food, chipatti with AHI staff.,milking a cow, and eating dinner with the amazing boys at Cornerstone Leadership Academy. Start your day with meditation and set an intention for the day! Spend the afternoons on the comfortable porch of the AHI guest house engaging in interactive workshops with Noah. Finish the trip off with an incredible adventure to Murchison Falls National Park where you will go on safari and a Nile River boat cruise. It is important to note: This trip is NOT about serving poor Africans, but rather an experiential adventure that will expose you to Ugandan culture and community. It is about building relationships with others, and most importantly connecting with yourself. In addition to participating in Noah's workshops, Suzy, a Life Coach will lead the group in discussions that help connect you back to your authentic self!
