We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity to join College Ready director, Shellee Howard, and Suzy Benson, Dare to Lead™ Facilitator and coach on a trip of a lifetime to Uganda, Africa in June 2024. On this journey you will:

• Have an unforgettable adventure that will help you develop your leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of compassion, empathy, and service.
• You will work with local schools and communities, participate in cultural experiences, and embark on an adventure safari. You will also have the opportunity to join a Nile River Boat cruise and explore the natural beauty of this amazing country.
• You will be given tools to facilitate and teach leadership skills and concepts alongside students in Uganda. This will not only help you develop your own leadership abilities but also make a positive impact on the lives of those you will work with.

This opportunity is open to high school and university students, and there will be limited spaces for parent chaperones. If you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help you become a better leader, we encourage you to join us on this trip.

Shellee Howard is the Founder and CEO of College Ready.  She is a Certified Independent College Strategist and Career Counselor.  She is an International Speaker and award winner.  Shellee has been featured on FOX, CBS, and NBC, and is the author of the best selling book, "How to send your student to college without losing your mind or your money"?
​Shellee and her team help Middle and High School students (and their parents) by preparing them for the college admissions process, helping them create a Stand Out Strategy while striving for the best Academic, Social, Athletic and Financial fit. She enjoys supporting teenagers all over the world.

Shellee is passionate about various causes privately and through her church, she is currently building a school in Uganda for 150 children, providing education opportunities in Oaxaca, and other humanitarian efforts. Additionally, she sponsors multiple children through Bella Angelo International. When not working, you will find Shellee traveling and serving those in need.

SUZY BENSON Suzy Benson is the founder and former director of African Promise Foundation, a partner organization that employs women in Uganda and pays school fees for vulnerable children. In 2015 she formed African Promise Expeditions (A.P.E.) as an offshoot of African Promise Foundation. A.P.E. provides opportunities for individuals and teams to work side by side Ugandans, form relationships, experience adventure and do personal development.  In addition to A.P.E., Suzy is a certified professional coach with a strong background in helping develop leaders. She also personally trained with Dr. Brené Brown and is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator. Suzy uses her gifts of kindness and authenticity to facilitate personal growth that transforms A.P.E. participants, leaders, and teams. Suzy has been to Uganda countless times and is well connected with other NGO's that help partner with her when choosing projects.  There are few people as well connected in Uganda as Suzy and she prides herself in leading safe, fun, and transformative expeditions.
